PLEASE IGNORE THIS PAGE - THE OLD VENUE IS NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED
(We meet on Zoom instead) Jurnet's Bar is in the mediæval undercroft at Jurnet's House (aka "The Music House"), Wensum Lodge, 169 King St, Norwich NR1 1QW - an easy 8-minute walk from Norwich railway station [see walking route]. Even with this knowledge, though, if you've never been to Jurnet's before you could have quite a hard job identifying our venue. As you approach along King St, the building has no signs on it nor any indication of where the bar's entrance might be – no wonder it's known as "The best kept secret in Norwich"! If you're coming to one of our events for the first time, we'd like to make sure you're not left clueless and scratching your head in the street. Here's how to find us... |
Passing down King St, Jurnet's House is a large pink 3-storey building with lots of leaded windows:
To the right-hand side of the house is a pair of iron gates opening onto a cobbled entranceway:
Head through the gates and turn left, behind Jurnet's House. The bar entrance is in the far left corner:
Parking:
If you're coming by car, you can try the Pay & Display car park next to Wensum Sports Centre, a little futher down King St.
As you'll be arriving after 6pm, the parking fee will be only £1.50 for the whole night.
Accessibility:
Inside, the venue is fully ramped/wheelchair-accessible. Disabled toilets are located across the courtyard.
